
Prior to founding Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company in 1996,
Dave was an investment banker specializing in the healthcare industry. Together
with Ken O'Keefe, he was responsible for the healthcare investment banking
practice at First Chicago (now J.P. Morgan) and a related joint venture from
1989 - 1996. In these two positions he directed, with Ken, twenty - five
advisory assignments for healthcare companies aggregating more than $2 billion
in transaction value. From 1979 to 1989 Dave was a managing director in the
Chicago office of Smith Barney, Inc.
Dave serves or has served on the board of directors of AbilityOne Corporation,
DentalCare Partners, Inc., Heartland Information
Services, the Patterson Companies (NASDAQ: PDCO), Reichert, Inc., Scrip Holdings Corporation, Sirona Dental
Systems, TeraMedica,
Inc., TIDI Products, and Valitás Health Services, Inc.
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of the South, he
also received an M.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Chicago and an
M.S. degree in economics from the London School of Economics.
